Posted on May 25 2008,7:56 by falcon Hi, It has occured to me that, although many of you may know about it, you may not have been formally invited. Therefor, consider this your official notice/invitation. On Saturday, August 16th 2008 T4L will be holding it's 4th annual Temple of Pain Conference (ToP-CON for short). The main even will be at the Tucker Estates starting aroun 6PM. This event will be nothing more than a simple gathering... a party if you will. We'll be providing entertainment, food, drink, prizes and awards. I know many of our members are flying / driving in on Thursday and Friday of that week along with the many T4L'ers that live here in town. In the past this event has been a lot of fun a great way to meet new people that you've been hanging out with online. There are also additional events this particular weekend, such as paintball, dinners on the Plaza, golf, and more. If you are interested in any of these other events, please let me know and I'll give you more details. So, everyone we know is invited and welcome to attend. If you'd like to bring something, bring a bottle of your favorite liquor. Beer will be provided by either Boulevard or 75th street brewery. We've heard from a majority of the group and are prepared to announce the committee for 2007. After receiving, sorting, calculating and counting; the members of the Temple of Pain have voice their opinions and would like the following to represent the group and help lead us into the future. WarCry Rant Shotty Sweet Death Ghost Sweeper MtnGrd HvyD This group of members will not only serve and represent our group in a more intimate way by providing leadership, they will also help in managing and performing many of the administrative tasks that running an organization like ours creates. Please welcome these guys aboard and don't give them too much grief right off the bat. Give them a bit of time to get settled and organized before throwing them to the wolves :-) Their first task will be to get together and elect one among them to represent them as a committee chairman. After that, they'll divvy up the duties and off we go! Furthermore... As we grow and become a larger organization, it is critical that our internal structures do as well. Posted on Oct. 29 2006,8:22 by Joe_Cool Breaking news!! T4L..Smoke'em withdraws Committe candidacy this year! Due to an aggressive work schedule and personal life adjustments to his new job T4L..Smoke'em has announced the withdrawl of his candidacy from this years Committee elections.  Smoke'em is best known for his booming voice on Vent but also for his instrumental role in sparking what eventualy became the merger of the -03- group with T4L. "I hope the clan understands" says Smoke, one of the T4L elders, "I just think it's in the best interest of the group for me not to run [for a Committee seat] this year with my new work schedule and all." Smoke is completing his current Committee assignment until the elections are final and will then enjoy some time off from the demands of assisting with the daily clan activities. When asked if he is all done helping lead the T4L group Smoke responded, "No, I'm not retiring!  I just don't want to let the group down by not following up on my duties because of my new work load at home.  Expect me back in the running at sometime in the future!" Smoke also noted that he is impressed with all of the new cadidates and is looking forward to helping the "fresh blood" in the Committee in any way he can. Quote of the day
